Castlebeck is the UK's largest independent provider of specialist healthcare and rehabilitation services for adults and adolescents with learning disabilities and severely challenging behaviours. It operates specialist hospitals and care homes across the Midlands, North East of England and Scotland.  A recapitalisation of the business in 2005 facilitated the repayment of the majority of the original cost of the investment. In 2006, Castlebeck was sold to Castle Holdings, a company associated with Barchester Healthcare group.
